Welcome to Panic Away – I’m Beth :)

Firstly I would like to welcome you to my site. I started this site because like many people, I was having problems with anxiety and panic attacks. I recently found a self-help program online that has changed my like. I decided that it would be great to share my experience and help others having anxiety problems…enjoy and good luck!

I used to suffer from frequent panic attacks. And I developed an anxiety disorder that lasted for many years. I used to get dizzy spells and hot flushes during meetings at work. Then, I started to feel uncomfortable in social situations and started staying home when I should have been out enjoying myself. It started to effect more and more areas of my life until it seemed to be taking over my entire life with increasing intensity. This anxiety problem just would not go away and was getting worse by the day. I was beginning to feel that I could not function as a normal human being any more… and would often think it would never go away and I was getting worse by the day.

<< Stop Panic Attacks without Harmful Drugs! >>

A few years ago, I went to my doctor for help who prescribed an antidepressant called Prozac. I tried it for a couple of weeks, but it just made me feel weird. I hated the feeling and stopped taking it. After this, my doctor wanted me to try Zoloft which basically gave me the same bad feelings. I finally decided that I needed to find a solution to my problems without taking anti-depressants or other mind altering drugs. Shortly after this my parents recommended I try taking St Johnswort. I do think that it helped me feel somewhat better overall, but it just wasn’t helping me when my anxiety was elevating to panic attack levels.

After all of this, I started researching panic attack treatments online. I wanted to find a solution that didn’t involve taking medicine. I was feeling like I would never get rid of this problem. The anxiety was ruining my life, and I wanted it to stop! That day I found a program online called Panic Away. I thought that it was a scam, I mean how could a simple program so quickly and easily help so many people. I read everything on their site for at least an hour, I mean I was desperate and it sounded too good to be true. I wanted it to be true and in my desperation I purchased the online course. At first, I thought what a fool I was to fall for these claims to cure panic attacks. Maybe it did help other people, but how could it possibly help me who has been struggling with this for years.

Well, I have to say that Panic Away was the best purchase I have ever made. I mean how can something that has changed my life (for the better) not be, right? I’m so happy these days. I can go anywhere and do anything without even giving my anxiety a thought. I never believed I could be this calm about everything. It has truly changed my life, for which I’m ever grateful. Thank you Panic Away!

There are many types of anxiety and stress related issues you can have, but some of the worst of the severe anxiety symptoms can be life altering and very difficult to deal with. That feeling of being constantly on edge, where all your muscles feel tight and strained is an awfully tough one to shake, and for many people is only the tip of the iceberg of what is really going on in their heads.

Fear is a very common symptom of anxiety, and vice versa. We’re not talking about the fear or normal things you should be scared of, but an insatiable fear that you know in your heart is irrational, yet you cannot shake it. One of my fears as someone who suffers from social anxiety, is that everyone is thinking bad things about me at all times, when in reality I know that this is happened very rarely and that people are mostly thinking about themselves. It’s irrational, yet I still have trouble going out in public without issue.

When these types of symptoms start taking control of your life, the problem is severe and needs to be dealt with. You may already be avoiding situations just to avoid the anxiety that comes with it, maybe you’re already feeling like something bad is about to happen if you say, step on the cracks on the sidewalk, or just for no reason in particular. To top all of that off, you could even be having panic attacks, where you begin to sweat profusely, your heart pounds out of your chest, and you can’t think straight.

There are ways of dealing with these things, and many of them involve therapy and medication, which you may not be comfortable with.  If you are one of those people, identifying the causes of your anxiety if the first step in dealing. Pay attention to your severe anxiety symptoms, when they happen, and try to change your circumstances around you when they occur. Just remember, you are not alone, and there are many more tips on controlling these symptoms.

Many adults have anxiety and depression, and even panic attacks due to the amount of high stress in their lives due to their jobs, relationships, financial troubles and more. Treatments involve medication and therapy, and learning to deal with stresses in different ways. Children in these types of families or situations are often receptive to the emotions going on around them, and can develop these types of panic attacks. Children have many social strains on them in today’s world, as well as educational ones. It is becoming more and more common today to see panic attacks and anxiety disorders in children then in years past.

If your child is having symptoms of panic attacks, such as shortness of breath, a constant feeling of being tense, nausea, and fears of impending doom to name a few, then chances are they should be treated, especially if the family history shows others to have had these same problems. Cognitive therapy and possible medications are the two most commonly used treatment options for children with panic attacks. The therapy is just a way for the child to learn that the symptoms are actually symptoms and not how they are supposed to feel, and this alone may help wonders. They will learn how to replace the bad thoughts with good ones, and stymie an attack before it starts.

Depending on the severity of the child’s panic attacks and anxiety issues, medication such as a low dose of Xanax may be prescribed to deal with the worst of it. There is always a risk of addiction with these types of drugs, so therapy and learning ways to deal with the attacks as they begin are often more accepted practice. If your children, panic attacks or anxiety symptoms aside, seem to be losing interest in the things they loved to do and other downward or depressing behavior starts, it may be time to seek professional help.

As a long time sufferer myself of panic attacks, I’ve sought far and wide for a non medicinal cure for panic attacks, and I am here to say that there is hope. If you’ve experience a panic attack before, and since you’re reading this it’s safe to say you have, then you know firsthand how awful and life altering they are.  For some, attacks can be triggered by different types of anxiety, and others it could be triggered by certain fears or phobias, such as public speaking. Whatever causes you to fall into a panic attack, there are most definitely ways to manage them.

While it may be easier if you know the exact cause for a panic attack to occur, many people can’t really pinpoint and specific event, as it could be more of a gradual build up of anxiety that leads to the attack itself. If you do know the direct cause, then you can immediately begin working on that aspect of yourself, trying to confront that fear or phobia to a point where it becomes cognitive, or in other words, routine.  For the rest of us, there are ways to stymie a panic attack the moment it starts.

Try to change whatever situation you are in at the moment your panic attack begins. If you’re stuck at home, go take a walk, just do whatever you can to change your circumstances, and that could very well help to stop the attack before it starts. Even simply thing such as drinking some tea or some ice cold water can help stop an attack at the onset, and some people have even had success in purposely causing themselves to hyperventilate. The purpose of these things is to get your mind off of whatever it’s panicking over, and focused on something else. Whatever you try and do, if you find something that seems to work, don’t forget it.
